Google+ invites closed, but you can still find one?

Google+ beta launch was so successful that the invite program was shut off. Late on Wednesday night a senior vice president of Social for Google, posted on the Google+ network that the company has been overwhelmed with interest and had to stop taking new users.

"We've shut down invite mechanism for the night, Insane demand. We need to do this carefully, and in a controlled way. Thank you all for your interest!" Gundotra, Google's head of social media posted on Google+.

Google+: Google's latest take on Facebook

Google has announced its most ambitious Facebook alternative to date. The service was launched to a limited number of users today in what Google is calling a "field trial".

HP TouchPad rumoured To Get 7-Inch model

In just a few days, HP’s 9.7 inch TouchPad units will be available on retail shelves across the U.S. It look like HP is planning to give its tablet users more options for mobility, according to a report from Taiwan Economic News.

Microsoft agrees to buy Skype for $8.5 billion

Till yesterday there were just rumors, but now it has been confirmed that Microsoft has agreed to buy Skype for $8.5 billion. This is the biggest sum Microsoft has paid for an acquisition to date. Microsoft plans to integrate Skype with Microsoft Lync, Outlook, Xbox, Kinect and Xbox Live.

Microsoft has pledged to continue to invest in and support Skype clients on non-Microsoft platforms such as Linux, Mac OS X, Android, iOS, and WebOS. Is this the end of Skype or a new beginning, only time will tell.

HP refreshes laptop line

HP has just launched a refresh of their popular laptop line. The new product include the Mini 210, Envy 14, Pavilion dv4, Elitebook 2560p, 2760p and ProBook 5330m. In this post we will be focusing on the new ENVY 14.

Exporting and Importing mysql data using command line

To take db dump (export) use the following command. This will take the dump of the whole database

mysqldump -u
user_name -p database_name > dump.sql

To take backup of specific tables you can specify the table names like

mysqldump -u
user_name -p database_name table1 table2 > dump.sql

Now if you want to select some particular rows in a table u can use the following

mysqldump -u
user_name -p database_name table1 --where=condition > dump.sql

To import (restore) use the following command

mysql --user=
user_name --password=password database_name < dump.sql

Sony Ericsson announced their new M600 handset. M600 is 15-milimeter-slim, 3G dual-mode communicator (UMTS and tri-band GSM/GPRS). It has a touch-sensitve, 2.6-inch 240x320 262K color display, dual-function QWERTY keyboard, RSS reader, and Bluetooth with A2DP stereo audio support for untethered playback of that MP3/AAC audio stored on the 80MB of internal memory or Memory Stick Micro expansion card. BenQ-Siemens phones launched

BenQ-Siemens unveiled the first three products named EF81, S68 and S88. BenQ-Siemens EF81 is a clamshell phone with UMTS support. BenQ-Siemens S88 is a bar phone with with a 2.0 megapixel camera autofocus camera. The S68 is a slim bar shaped phone with an attractive design.
