ARCHOS has announced its 3rd generation of Android powered tablets. The ARCHOS G9 Tablets are ARCHOS’ most powerful tablets yet. Powered by Honeycomb 3.1, the G9 Tablets are designed to maximize your media and Android experience whether at home or on the move. Both the tablets come with an OMAP4 dual-core processor at 1.5 GHz, the fastest for a tablet yet.
The 80 G9 has an 8 inch display
with 1024 x 768 pixels resolution. The flash memory version of the 80 G9 tablet measures 226 mm x 155.3 mm x 11.7 mm (8.90 x 6.11 x 0.46 inch) - 465g, while the Hard Drive version is 226 mm x 155.3 mm x 14.7 mm (8.90 x 6.11 x 0.58 inch) - 599g. Price ~ $280.
The 101 G9 has a 10.1 inch screen with 1280 x 800 pixels resolution. The flash memory version of the 101 G9 276 mm x 167.3 mm x 12.6 mm (10.86 x 6.59 x 0.50 inch) - 649g, while the Hard Drive version is 276 mm x 167.3 mm x 15.6 mm (10.86 x 6.59 x 0.61 inch) - 755g. Price ~ $350.
Both the tablets come with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1, GPS, front-facing camera, multi video format support and full-size USB port. The G9s will be available in the 3rd-4th quarter of this year.
